It’s a long one, but this is a long book! It’s Midnight Sun season and this time, we compare a handful of passages to Twilight and see how Bella & Edward’s narration differs. Plus, we discuss Bella’s favorite candy (black licorice!??!) and Slate’s article about the hundreds of ‘murmurs’ in the Saga.
Like the first Twilight movie, we’re still super low budget and indie... but possibly the best thing you’ll ever experience!? ♡

It’s our 50th episode, wow! Take that, everyone who asked us in 2018 if we’d have enough to talk about. This week Kel & Mel continue reading Midnight Sun. ♡ Where we left off: Edward has become more and more preoccupied with Bella and despises everything Mike Newton does We also play a voice message from our listener Kiyah!

She’s in our theme song and created arguably the best movie of all time—it’s Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke!!
We talked to Catherine about her Twilight memories, inspiration, the audition tapes, and her new show ‘Don’t Look Deeper’ on Quibi. Mel lost power halfway through the interview, so don’t miss that awkward moment!
It was so thrilling and such an honor to have Catherine on the show. You can see a visual version of this interview on our YouTube page! & Please excuse our DIY audio quality!

After waiting almost half our lifetimes, Twilight’s companion novel Midnight Sun is finally published! IT’S HERE! We discuss the first four chapters in this episode—“no reason to rush through the experience” as Edward says. AHHH! Plus, exciting news about Catherine Hardwicke, and we read a listener letter about Midnight Sun.

Hi guys! Today's episode is a little different than usual. We wanted to take some time to address and show our support for the recent Black Lives Matter movement and protests. These are crazy but important times, and we just felt we should speak up on it while also finding a way to tie it into our raison d'être, Twilight. Yes, we can relate it to Twilight.
We are also going on a little hiatus until August 11th. When we return, we will be ready to cover the first portion of Midnight Sun! In the meantime, we also discuss the quotes from M.S. that Stephenie Meyer has teased. Thoughts on those??
Love you all, xx.

Yessss, we're back with another "Commentary on the Commentary", this time for New Moon with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert. Sounds like a weird thing to cover, but hear us out! There was actually so much to learn about the making of New Moon and the 'art of cinema'.
Is Chris Weitz cute? What's with his accent? Was he into Kristen Stewart? Also mentioned: the Cullens' SWIMMING POOL; forgiveness as a concept; and Kelly accidentally calls Jacob 'sexy'.

We never thought this day would actually come. Stephenie Meyer is publishing Midnight Sun, the companion to Twilight in Edward’s perspective. WHAT?!!! This is historic!
So in this week's episode, Mel and Kel discuss the new book's cover art, reveal a clip from our live reaction to it, and read excerpts from the Midnight Sun draft. We also randomly act out a scene from 'Little Women'. At the very end of the episode, we completely lose our sh*t! It's Midnight Sun!!!!

It's the last movie soundtrack—nooo! It's very bittersweet to complete our last soundtrack review with Breaking Dawn Part 2. This time we have Passion Pit, Green Day, St. Vincent, Ellie Goulding, Feist, and many more artists.
Like our previous reviews, we play a clip from each track, then discuss. One song in particular caused quite a fight between Kel and Mel. Can you guess which one? If you totally disagree with our takes, please don't come after us with pitchforks! But do let us know what you think of the album and how it stacks against the rest.

We’re discussing the man, the myth, the legend: Robert Pattinson! Our greasy-haired, endlessly exaggerating, goofy-yet-private star of the Twilight Saga. For such an important guy, we had to make it a big episode, and we start the show with quiiiite a surprise! We’ll then take you through the timeline of Rob’s life with quotes to try to understand who he *really* is.
For the last half-hour of the show, Kel & Mel call our listener Morgan for her birthday and play a Twilight game that we totally made up. We hope you enjoy it and are staying safe and sane during this crazy time. Just remember: RPatz & Twilight forever.

We're discussing Twilight FanFiction this week, so yes, it is the most explicit episode we've ever made. So probably don't play this out loud if there are kids in the room—or really, if there's anyone else in the room!
Kel & Mel have never really dabbled in FanFic before, and this week we read three stories about Bella and Edward: "January", "Love and Lust", and "Wax & Wane." Some of the sentences we read out loud are freaking wild. But some scenes are just as touching and entertaining as the real series. Have you read FanFic before? What's your favorite?
